The Impact Investor Research Project

For the past 9 months, I’ve had the pleasure of working with Cathy Clark (of Duke) and Ben Thornley (of Insight) on a new research initiative exploring what makes for best practices for impact investment funds. To date, much of the research has been kind of “outside, looking in” wherein others (myself included!) look at funds and draw conclusions about who they are and what makes them tick. This initiative is a 2 year research piece based on practitioner (ie investors and fund managers) perspectives regarding who some of the “best” impact funds are and (perhaps most importantly) what makes them the “best.”

Here’s a link to some materials/videos on the research venture and I’ll be sure to post more over the months to come as we release various papers…

oh–also, we’ll be curating one of the tracks at SoCap in October, so look for (and participate in!) The Impact Investor track!
